ABOUT THE RELEASE
The song was recorded at a beautiful summer house located just by the ocean on the west coast of Sweden in the middle of January 2003. Heiko was down at the summer house writing and recording songs over the weekend when the song Beautiful was cut. This was in their alternative rock period when they were inspired by bands such as Weezer and Foo Fighters. They wanted to create energetic rock but with an alternative quirkiness to the songs and with more focus and complex song compositions.
The band was from the beginning called Useless Wooden Toys, named after a skateboard movie back at the beginning of the ’90s, but change their name when they left their more punk-rock years behind.
